We’re just a big group of art-nerds here at Nuvango. After almost a decade in the biz, we’ve seen some exciting things go down. The internet has levelled the playing field for artists looking to market themselves and gain access to fair pay through platforms like ours. Local art fairs have made a huge comeback. Then there’s street art scene. This magical movement has really hit a pinnacle over the past decade and continues to help define the careers of some of today’s top artists.
The work of Shepard Fairey and the team at OBEY have been huge influences on the contemporary art scene and are definitely a company we have a ton of respect for. We were delighted to see that Shepard and co. were in Toronto this week, adorning our fair city with some gorgeous murals. “Obey Eye” and “Peace Bomber” are located on Queen Street at Gladstone and Queen at Bathurst, respectively. Shep even sat down with one of our fave contributors, Samara Shuter, last night. SS, do we smell a collab coming?
Enjoy the ‘6 team OBEY! Thanks for the wall love!
